Question
How soft are the lambies?

answer 1
I have bought the small black ones, the small white ones, large white ones and large black ones. They are all cuddly and soft. But I will say do not drop them on the floor, they get every little thing stuck to them and washing them is difficult as well. One of my black ones my son uses looks like it fell in a dryer lint trap...they attract every piece of lint that you never knew you had.

they are incredibly soft! the best part about the lambie products is that when you wash them they stay just as soft and beautiful as the day you bought them. i love lambie SO much that i bought a blanket for my car (for those few but far road trips....and of course cold nights home) and one for my bed! of course i have lambies around my house and car too. i always make sure to spray them with some sort of pillow mist. (the sleep ones are always my favorite!) this way my lambie isn't just cute to look at, but she smells great too!

Just imagine a soft, furry, fuzzy cloud and that's a lambie. My three grandchildren all have them and my 11 yr old has all of them, even the large black one. He loved the small ones so much we had to go back and get the "mommy" lambie. They are great and the black chamomille pillowmist is a must have. He says it helps him sleep and I'm thinking it really does, even if it's by him thinking it would work ;o). I had to get the whole fragrance set and all the family can use it since it's not a one gender scent. You could also spray your lambie with your favorite fragrance for a nice room freshener!

I love the little lambie collection. There arn't many left online but I've seen several color variations still available in stores. I have three of them and they're all very soft and cute. I got the gray and black and pink lambie for myself. I got the solid black for my husband. They're equally soft and really chubby, the materials are good quality ( their hair really feels like wool). Get them while they last!

I find it helpful to spray the Lambie with one of our sleep fragrances, and it's good for adults as well as the baby who is cranky because he has a cold or she is teething, etc. I am almost 40 and I never ever get tired of plush toys. Our lambies are soft and sweet and cuddly. In this day and age (and with all the worries out there) a little simple comfort isn't a bad thing.

Hey! Sometimes, even as adults, we all like to cuddle with a stuffed animal, and little lambie is perfect. My husband gave me one for my birthday (the black one, which I loved!) and I found myself that night cuddling it and I felt like a little girl all over again! Sometimes you just gotta be a kid! I love the idea of spraying it with pillow mist. My mini daschund tried to steal it away from me but I got it back just in time before she ripped it apart! She thinks it would make a great dog toy too!

Try the C.O. Bigelow Barber Collection. It is available in 4 different fragrances. Elixr Blue and Grey are my favorites! Every guy I know really likes the Blue, and it comes in a great ready made giftset this year!
If you aren't sure about C.O.Bigelow, there is BBW Men's. Try the Woodland or the Cool Springs. Both are good. My dad and my uncle really like Woodland a lot. It is a very mature fragrance for guys.

As a [very] frequent male shopper at Bath and Body Works, I can tell you some of my favorites that many men tend to absolutely love. For home fragrance, men tend to really like the Henri Bendel 'Firewood' or 'Cinnamon Stick' candles, as well as the Slatkin Sandalwood Vanilla candles.
For body care, the C.O. Bigelow has a line called' Barber' with four colored fragrances. The lighter two are the blue and green. The Blue Elixir is my personal favorite, but the Green Elixir tends to have a fresh and clean smell. The Red Elixir is a lighter fragrance, but slightly spicier if he likes that. Black Elixir is a very dark fragrance. Very professional. I also cannot recommend the C.O. Bigelow shaving cream in the green tube. It is, far and beyond, the BEST shaving cream I've ever used.

I know this is an old question, but for others who might be reading it now or in the future....in response to those that have suggested warm vanilla sugar as a universal favorite...it's not for me - in fact, of all my family members & friends, I only know of 2 that like the artificial scent of vanilla.
I may have non traditional tastes, but my favorite B&BW scents are:
mango mandarin,
Eucalyptus Spearmint
dancing waters,
tropical passionfruit,
CO Bigelo's Lemon scent,
and coconut lime verbena (in moderation)

my mom (in her mid-50's) loves Japanese Cherry Blossom.

I second Jap Cherry Blossom. Although, Black Amethyst has been really popular since it came out and sometimes is hard to find in stock. You do have to think about the musky scent that is in both of those, however. If you or the gift recipient doesn't like that then I would try Midnight Pomegranate (another big seller).

Japanese Cherry Blossom is the #1 selling fragrance on America so I would totally pick that one. it is also my favorite. When in doubt tho, Warm Vanilla Sugar is really good and dont forget, anything you buy there, they guarantee! So if its for a gift and they dont love the fragrance, they can always swap it out. They dont even need a reciept. How cool is that?!

In the signature line, the body butter and body cream are great. They contain a good amount of shea butter, but are not so intense that they are greasy. And for a scent, I would recommend the Blushing Cherry Blossom. It has a hint of rose in it.

Try the body creams from the signature collection (moonlight path, black amethyst, sweet pea); they pack more moisture than the lotions. I use that type on my legs after shaving and when they get chapped in the winter. It starts out feeling a little bit slicker than the usual lotion but soaks in very quickly.

Also, both of my Grandmas really appreciated long handled back scrubbers. They said twisting their shoulders to reach their backs was getting pretty painful.

answer 2
As I'm sure you already know, this is a tough subject to tackle.

One recommendation I have is the C.O. Bigelow brand. It is a natural apothecary brand. Most of the items are "unfragranced." Now mind you, that doesn't mean the items lack scent. The lemon line has a delightful lemon scent, courteous of the natural lemon oil used in those particular products. But since the scent is natural, it wears off quickly. The ingredients are top-notch, and the products are known for doing what they say they'll do. While ingredient lists cannot be found for all COB products online, just check you nearest BBW store and look at the bottles to see if there are any known ingredients in there that would bother your mother-in-law. COB has just about every product type you could want. Face and body care, hair care, hand soap, skin remedies, lip care, their famous Mentha products, their famous lemon line, etc. etc. Check out COB!

There is a 3rd party vendor carried by BBW online and at Flagship stores called 100%Pure. They use all natural, mostly organic ingredients. But that doesn't always mean non-allergenic.

BBW's True Blue Spa makes fragrance-free hand cream called Lay It On Thick. It is great! Very moisturizing, with shea butter. However, there may be other ingredients in there that may be bothersome.

Lastly, and this may be the most helpful to you, AHAVA (another 3rd party vendor) sells products for sensitive skin and specifically states they are "hypoallergenic." This is probably your best bet, although through AHAVA you will find great skincare but not scentful pampering. Unfortunately, it is the oils used in fragrancing body products that are the worst offenders of all when it comes to topical allergies.

With the exception of maybe the AHAVA products, you will have to check ingredients against things you know bother your mother-in-law. If you want to try some items, explain the situation and one of the BBW sales associates can portion out some samples to try (although if you are getting a gift, you may just have to rely on the satisfaction guaranteed policy if things don't work out). It certainly is no fun when you are excited to try a product and you find you are allergic to it, breaking out into an itchy red rash (hopefully nothing more serious than that).
