Question
Do you sell a no-frangrance Bug Repellent?
I was told prior to an outdoor wedding in Sarasota, Florida, that you sold an effective insect repellent, but I couldn't find a store in time and suffered many bites.

Eucalyptus Spearmint in the Aromatherapy line works for me. Eucalyptus is a natural bug repellent.

I agree with the other response, but i do know one that works for me. It is amazingly in the Signature Collection, brand new frag called White Citrus. It is a Citrus base frag that, in my personal experience, kept mosquitoes away. Smells a hole lot better then OFF!

I am not aware of BBW currently selling an insect repellent product, or a mosquito-repellent product. If you are convinced of such a product existing, I recommend you contact BBW directly with your inquiry.

You should try the Scentportable by Slatkin & Co. It's available in a Fresh Cotton fragrance. The Fresh Cotton fragrance will absolutely freshen your clothes and keep musty smells at bay. It even has a clip—just hang on a hanger or toss into the corner. It's that easy!

I'm not aware of BBW selling anything like pouches of scented crystals one could hang in closets, etc., to keep them fresh while you are away. The best item in my opinion to provide constant scent protection would be an odor-neutralizing Wallflower. They last longer than Scentports. I don't know if a bulb (which lasts 6, maybe 8 weels), will suffice, it depends on how often you frequent your condo. But if practical, plug-ins could deal with odor full-time.

While you are there, use plug-ins with fresh fragrance bulbs (to get the best scent), and carry it further using say home fragrance oil warmers (electric or tea light ones). If you like candles, those are great but if you are at the beach all day, don't want to leave those unattended. But using small candles for small burn times would be OK, and some candles give off a nice scent even when unlit. Periodic use of concentrated room spray can defeat musty odors that creep in. Pillow mists can freshen laundry especially when preparing for sleep.

Anyway, sorry I couldn't come up with something more long-term for while you are away from your condo. Ideally, the plug-in diffusers would work the best, but wouldn't last the whole winter. Perhaps someone with a similar dilemma has better suggestions.

can you turn the wallflowers plug in's side ways on the wall unit, or will they leak out? thank you

If you are turning it because you need to fit it somewhere, the actual plug part (the 2 prongs) turn themselves. However, I would not suggest turning it on its side because I have seen them leak before.

You can not turn the entire wallflower side ways, it will leak out. You shouldn't have to turn the whole thing anyway because the plug itself turns to adjust to your electrical socket.

If your outlet is sideways, you can plug in your Wallflower. You do need to rotate the plug on the Wallflower, first! If you hold the Wallflower diffuser frame firmly, you'll find you can rotate the plug part from "vertical" to "horizontal" (rotate by 90 degrees). You must do this or else the fragrance oil will indeed leak out! The diffuser unit must always point up, with the fragrance bulb below. Hope this answers your question.

Question
can you use scentport in a car as a refresher or do they need to be plugged in to an electric source?

You can use the Scentport in your car as long as it stays upright- it does not have to be plugged in to an electrical outlet. Be careful as the oil from the unit can and will stain if it comes into contact with certain surfaces or materials. The scent will not be nearly as strong if used in your car because the unit heats up when plugged in to an outlet which helps disperse the scent.

Bath & Body Works made a Scentport for use in your car that clipped to your vent but they have not carried them in a long time.

The only thing they make now, as Pampered Dragon said, is the Scentportable. You can find the refills in a variety of scents but I'm not so sure about the Scentportable Starter Kit/Unit. Some of the refills are currently on sale because they are considered "seasonal scents".

answer 2
Scentports refer to the home fragrance diffuser units that require plugging into an electrical outlet to warm (and thus diffuse) the fragrance into the air.

I think you are talking about the Scentportable. Big difference. The Scentportable is a plastic clip-on unit that houses a disc-shaped fragrance oil reservoir that you have open to air and the fragrance passively diffuses out of it. It can be clipped just about everywhere and does not require an outlet. It is perfect for cars, small closets, lockers, etc. Howver, its performance varies widely.

So a Scentport is a home diffuser that requires an outlet. A Scentportable is (like its name) portable and can be used many places where there is no electrical access.

Hope this helps to clarify.

The snowman oil burner is about 6 to 7 inches tall. In the picture you can see he is a little more than twice as high as the oils themselves.

reed diffusers do NOT work at all to scent up a room!

i have used many different reed diffusers and they do'nt throw scent around the room, it will just be in that small area at which you put the reed diffuser......

go for candles or tart warmers or oils warmers...if you cannot or dont want to use fire....just use a concentrated room spray from BBW it will scent a room for up to 4 hours with only 2 squirts!

I love the reed diffusers, but don't count on one to do it all. Combine it w/scentports/wallflowers. Flip the reeds over every couple of days to enjoy it best. They are a beautiful way to enjoy frangrance and safe. Give it a try!

I have tried all different kinds of Bath&Body Work's scented oils in my humidifier and have had no problems! Cheaper brands create a horrible residue however. As long as you stick with B&BW oils you should be fine :)

You just uncork the bottle and stick the reeds in. They are very fragrant and last a long time. Great in large rooms, but can be a bit strong in a smaller room

Has anyone used a different brand of electric oil warmer to heat HFO other than the Slatkin Electric Warmer, for example a votive or candle warmer?

I use the Slatkin Votive holiday warmer...and to be honest...I would much rather use a votive than electric warmer because if you want scent right away and fast...its almost instantanious that u get it with the votive...for me the electric warmers work but dont release as much scent as the votive...more than likely its due to the heat being that its warmer with the flame

Well, I have used a candle warmer with one of the White Barn Candle Co's candles... It was very effective. The only requirement that the candle warmer has is that the thing you are trying to warm has it's own jar. I don't see a problem with warming scented oil in a jar with a flat base on a candle warmer. I think it would actually be more effective than using a candle seeing as the oil is already liquified. Hope that helped!

Question
Snowman oil burner question here??????
Can you tell me if this oil burner with the 3 oils is made of plastic? I saw a comment it was and I know plastic would melt. Has anyone tried it and how has it worked for you? Is it a strong burner or does it burn any different than the glass ones here?

It is actually ceramic. Its one of my favorite holiday decorations. I gave one to a friend who had never really burned oils before and she said shes going to use it all year - so I'm getting her another burning for her birthday - but its definently a great gift for your friends and for yourself!
