This post is a month old, so don't know if you're still checking, but here's my 2 cents worth.

I love TBS Lay It On Thick, but stays a little too greasy for my hands, but love it for body care. Have the hand cream but haven't tried it. Also, haven't tried the TBS hand creams, but intend to.

I have tried the Signature Hand Creams and I love them. You see, to me, it is all about shea butter. I have dry hands, and I am a healthcare professional which means I wash my hands tons of times a day (and night) at work, and also at home as part of habit (a healthy habit as one goes). So I always put on lotion after washing. Shea butter really nourishes. You'll find it in the best of hand creams. It's in TBS hand creams, Lay It On Thick, Signature Hand Creams, C.O. Bigelow's Lemon Hand Cream and others, and just too many to keep going. I also love the Ile de Tahiti Body Lotion in Coconut Vanille as a hand lotion because it contains-shea butter! Smells great, too.

But here is another hint. Want to make any Signature body lotion into an even better moisturizer? Get ahold of some Rice Flower and Shea body lotion (sold online in Signature Classics) and add a small amount of this very mildly scented lotion to a larger amount of your body lotion in your Signature scent, and now you have your scent infused with shea butter. What a perfect combination! I add Rice Flower and Shea body cream to my Signature body creams in the same way for the same reason, when I don't want to put on heavy body butter (which already is laden with shea butter, hence its heaviness). Hope this helps someone.

P.S. I always try to use BBW moisturizing hand soap at home. It, too, contains shea butter. Not only is it moisturizing, but it cuts grease like you couldn't imagine!

I absolutely love the C.O.Bigelow Derma Remedy hand cream. As others have said, you see results rather quickly and it makes dry hands look very healthy! Also, it has glycerin in it that makes a nice litter barrier to keep that moisture locked in!
Just to let you know, along with a great choice of hand creams, there are two great cleansers/scrubs that will help keep your hands healthy and soft :) One is the bigelow chapped hands cleanser that is great to use before the hand cream. It is an emmolient so it helps to really retain moisture and it's soap free. If you want a real treat, try the 60 second manicure from True Blue Spa...you'll be amazed at the difference in your hands after just one use! Not only just it make your hands really soft and make your skin glow, but it also does a bang up job on cleaning up your cuticles...which is one of my problem areas

I used to work at BBW and tried probably all of the hand creams! If you have really dry skin, the Lay it on Thick is good. It has a lot of shea butter in it. It is thick and it is greasy at first, but then it will soak in and after about 15 minutes, it is much better. The one I use now is Look ma new hands with the paraffin. The paraffin leaves nice seal on your hands to lock in the moisture. If you wash your hands a lot, this is good because it doesn't really wash away. The CO Bigelow was good too, but I was always sold on Spa.

There's a lot of options. As others said, the Look Ma, New Hands is a great choice.

If you've got VERY bad hands, try the C.O. Bigelow Quince lotion, or even better, the Derma Remedy Chapped Hands Treatment.

The results are very strong for all of those products. I particularly loved the Chapped Hands Treatment - it makes even the driest hands look healthy, conditioned, and hydrated.

It really depends on the time of day and what I am using AT (Aromatherapy) for. That's precisely why AT exists in different lines. My faves by breakdown:

Daytime: orange ginger
Instant fave: Instant Comfort (Fond Farewell, sadly)
Evening: eucalyptus spearmint (if I need to relax)
Night: alternate between Lav. Vanilla and Black Chamomile

What is body splash for?

answer 1
There seems to be a little confusion as to what the Body Splashes do for your skin.

First off, they are not a moisturizer. But that isn't because there is alcohol in them. There are a lot of different kinds of alcohol that are in products, and it is a common misconception that they are all drying. Alcohol denat, among others, that are frequently found in body care products, do NOT dry your skin.

The Body Splashes (now called Fragrance Mist) are a light perfume that is designed for quick touch-ups to keep the fragrance lasting on you longer. It can be considered an alternative to the Eau de Toilette, but the fact is that the Body Splash has far less fragrance oil in it than the Eau de Toilette does, and the best results are achieved through layering the fragrance.

By layering the fragrance (using the shower gel, body lotion, splash, and perfume) you will achieve the maximum scent and it will stay on you longer as the day goes on. The Body Splash is a nice pick-me-up.

I would disagree with the person saying it is moisture. Body Splashes have more alcohol content in it than your fragrances & perfumes. It is good to recharge your fragrance or freshen your skin after being active. I love them in the summer to soak up the oilyness of my skin & freshen me at the same time. They are also a GREAT alternative to people with allergies or migraines who can't wear fragrances or perfumes

Body splash is an alternative to eau de toilette, which is the perfume. It's great for when you layer the scent on your body. For instance, you take a shower and use the creamy body wash. And then when you're done, you use the body cream on your body and lastly, put the body splash on yourself to finish the layering of the scent. This will keep the scent from leaving after 1 or 2 hours.

Essentially it is a lighter form of eau de toilette or perfume. It adds a nice layer affect when you pair it with shower gel/ creamy body wash and/or body lotion/body cream.

Yes they do! True Blue Spa is a good product to use. Another product for people with sensitive skin is 100% Pure, it is all natural. I would tell them to try out the lotion on their skin (use a tester) then walk around a while and see if they have any effect on the skin if not then they can use that product. Always ask a sales associate if looking a product that sensitive skin people can use.

How much different is this year's sweetest softest robe compared to last year?
Is the hood the only big difference? I would also like to know if the dye on the new wine colored robe runs when it is washed. I really wanted a red one last year, but I ended up getting a lavender one since that was the only color left! These sold out so fast.

As others have mentioned, there are a few major differences between this Holiday’s robe and last season’s robe. Firstly, the belt is attached this year. It is sewn into the sides of the robe on each side of your waist. Some people like this, others don’t: make sure you find out which side you are on by trying one on in the store first.
Secondly, the fabric is slightly different. This year, it is more of a plush microfiber type material. It is very soft and relatively thick, though I also worry about the dye bleeding. Bath and Body Works has released several products lately that have labels warning of color bleeding, so I would really make sure to wash this item separately first, to be safe.
The material it is made of has a tendency to ‘clump’ together and look dirty quickly, so make sure you either clean your hands a lot or don’t mind washing the robe! Still, for the price, it is absolutely worth it in every respect. I haven’t decided what color I want yet, but I’ve already purchased a few as gifts!

Other than the hood and attached belt, this years robe is much softer! I'm not sure about the color running, but I'd certainly wash it once alone...you can never be too safe with reds! These robes always go fast, so I made sure I bought mine early this time. Go for it Eden- you won't regret it!

This years robe has a hood, the new sewn in belt and doesn't have pockets like last years robe. I am not sure about the dye running in the wash. I would suggest washing it by itself or using the dye catchers you can find in the laundry detergent aisle.

Other than the hood, I think the only other major change is that the belt is sewn to the sides of the robe and does not go all the way around the back, although I can't remember if the ones last year were sewn in as well or not. Don't know if the dye will run or not, but I'd wash it once by itself just to be sure.

What's the difference between Vanilla noir and warm Vanilla sugar?
i need to know so i know what to get my mom for mother's day.

answer 1
Warm Vanilla Sugar is a sweet vanilla, like baking vanilla most of us are familiar with. Almost a sugar cookie smell, but not quite that sweet. It has fragrance notes of vanila absolute, and creamy sandalwood (that mellows it out, helps make it a smoother scent, I believe). It is a very popular scent. Loved by many, liked by many more, and disliked by few.

Vanilla Noir smells nothing like Warm Vanilla Sugar. They both contain vanilla, but the similarities end there. It contains vanilla bean, vanilla extract, and vanilla orchid - these vanillas present themselves much more robustly, no subtlety in the least. Other fragrance notes give Noir its very independent fragrance: plum and berries, bergamot, toffee, cinnamon, and tuberose. And while both WVS and Noir contain musk, it is much more prominently presented in Noir. All this is what separates Noir into the "sexys" line per BBW's system, rather than the "cuddlers" line which contains Warm Vanilla Sugar.

I enjoy both scents. Noir is a more sophisticated fragrance, and not very sweet at all in my opinion. Noir is much more "feminine" as opposed to WVS being "sweet and gentle." OK, probably not doing the best to describe them, but I'm trying. Many wear WVS anytime, but prefer Noir as an evening scent (likely due to its heavier, muskier, less-sweet scent).

So it really depends on your mom's tastes. Since Warm Vanilla Sugar is among the most popular fragrances sold by BBW, I'd try that. Like I said, most everybody likes it. And you can't beat BBW's awesome return/exchange policy!

Warm Vanilla Sugar is a sweet vanilla, like a mild version of baking vanilla. The sandalwood in the fragrance makes it very mellow. Most people find WVS to be a pleasing scent.

Vanilla Noir is a stonger vanilla, not mellow at all, with the heft of musk. For those who love vanilla, most will probably like Vanilla Noir but for different reasons and occasions. It is often referred to as an "evening" or "night out" fragrance because it is heavier and more complex than WVS.

Only you can know what your mom would like, but I would think Warm Vanilla Sugar would be the safer bet. It is amongst the most popular fragrances sold by BBW. Hope this helps.

As some one who wears both, it's a different intensity and feeling. Sugar is like a nice every day scent, while Noir is a rich and sexy sophisticated version of vanilla. The 2 blend well together, too. Noir has a toffee sweetness and is great for date night or a rich bubble bath.

Vanilla Sugar smells like candy, like something very sweet. Its a warm smell. I personally don't llike it, its too sugary for me. The smell is just pure sugar, nothing else.

Vanilla Noir is sugary too, but deeper and sensuous, the smell is very comfortable, like laying on the most comfortable bed. I love this fragrance. Its heavy, so I use it mainly in the winter.

All of the input so far has been great so I won't repeat a bunch of it.

One thing I never see addressed is those of us who just can't stand to wear socks at night. In fact, I sleep with my feet sticking out from under the covers or else they'll get too "hot."

There are so many great foot creams out there, it is really a matter of trying things out and finding what works best for you. If you scrub off old lotion and dead skin in the shower, that's a great start. For really callused feet, using a foot file can help a lot too. BBW makes a great foot file that works better than any pumice stone IMO. If you can handle sock-covered feet all night, your foot cream (whatever you choose) will work better.

Since I can't wear socks all night, I simply exfoliate my feet as needed to prevent any callus or rough spot buildup. Then I use Shea It Isn't So, or I Love Shea from True Blue Spa just as I'm getting into bed so I get none on the carpet and as much as possible stays on my feet. If any troublesome spots arise, I use Heel of Approval, also from TBS. I have nothing against other brands, that's just what has worked for me, being nighttime sock-free. My feet stay healthy and moisturized. I do wear socks indoors during the day during winter (my feet stay comfy but not hot, and I can keep extra moisture in when humidity levels drop).

Hope this helps someone who, like me, can't handle hot tootsies at bedtime.

Stay in the shower until your feet get "prune " like. Scub them in the shower w/ a foot scrub and a pumice stone. Once dry, slather on a ton of thick foot cream and put on socks...any socks, and sleep over night! By morning you should have extra smooth tootsies.

My feet are also very dry and there are a couple of tricks that I do to keep them baby soft and smooth.

Every other week, I used the Foot Loose and Fancy Fizz bubbling foot soak. I leave my tootsies soaking for about 15 minutes while I am watching tv or checking emails. After they have soaked, I then use the toe the line foot scrub to help remove all the dead skin off of them. I then dry my feet and then use either I love Shea foot cream (it has very high concentration of shea butter to really moisturize and soothe) or the heel of approval foot cream (I apply it not only on my heels, but on my whole foot) and then put socks on and go on with my evening. Not only is it relaxing and easy to do, but it is also a great way to keep your feet in tip top shape!
I also do two other things that I find really really help. Every night I apply C O Bigelow's Tingling Mentha Foot Cream to my feet and then put on cotton socks or my Sleep Socks on and keep them on to really help my feet absorb the lotion. Also, about once a month I use the Bigelow Mentha Foot Cream in conjunction with the Suddenly Sauna booties for a really, really moisturizing, pampering experience. If you want something that is easy to do, but that you would see an immediate difference, then I would definately recommend the suddenly sauna self heating booties with the moisturizer of your choice. They are truly amazing!

Check out the Mustela line. You can find it online and at Flagship stores. It includes several products that are specifically designed for children with ultra sensitive skin and skin conditions like atopic dermatitis.

I first learned about Mustela products while attending a pediatric medical conference. It can be expensive, but it is a true pediatric dermatologic care line. I have heard some great things about it, but have never had any direct experience with it. No one wants to see their child suffer with severe eczema or atopic dermatitis. Review the products online and check it out. And remember, satisfaction guaranteed!

I believe Instant Aromatherapy (IA) has its place. If you are having a full-blown migraine, IA alone isn't going to do the trick, but it can turn things down a notch. This is especially helpful if you need a little bit of time to get to your migraine medication.

I believe that IA, just like Aromatherapy, works all the better if you are in the mind frame to accept its benefits. IA sleep formula is not going to take a fully awake person and put them under, but if you are tired but something is nagging you, a little nudge from IA may be all you need to relax and drift off to dreamland.

I know when I need a little extra soothing, the heavenly vanilla scent of Instant Comfort (now in Fond Farewells I'm afraid) is just the ticket. A little under by nose, and the vanilla absolute with a touch of chamomile settles over me like a soft, fuzzy blanket. Too bad it never came in a lotion or other products.

So as long as your expectations aren't too farfetched, IA has its place and you can certainly reap some benefits from it if you allow yourself to.

I tried the Headache aromatherapy and it did take my headache away. It smells amazing too.
I love the Cold and Flu Therapy, it helps to clear my stuffy nose.
The Stress Relief is my favorite. It smells like the Eucalyptus Spearmint body wash. It really is nice when I am feeling stressed out in my car.
The Crave Relief actually helped stop my craving for chocolate. (a miracle) but then the Instant Comfort smelled just like chocolate and caramel. They are very comforting scents but if you want to lose weight then I do not recomend it.
Energy Boost smells very good.
I do not care much for Optimism. It is not a bad scent but just not my favorite.
Sound Sleep is also good in the day when you want to destress.
These are the ones I bought and had great fun with my husband and kids smelling all of them. I am glad I bought them on sale and would buy some of them at full price in the future.

I am absolutely ADDICTED to the instant aromatherapy headache relief. I apply it directly to my temples, across my forehead and at the base of my neck to help alleviate sinus pressures from the weather constantly changing and tension headaches. I also like the new cold and flu relief, it is extremely strong but I apply it on my chest and underneath my nose to alleviate the cold and congestion I am currently experiencing. Also, I highly recommend using the Tranquil mint body wash, even though peppermint isn't an attractive scent, it makes you feel extremely relaxed after a long, stressful day.

The lotion was way too strong for me. Very very sweet, like a heavy perfume. I had to return it.

But I do like the scent in the pillow mist. I only use a few sprays, and pillow mists aren't really designed to be strong anyway. That's probably why I like BCV in the pillow mist b/c it is not a full frontal assault of heavy sweet perfume smell. I'm sure there are lots of fans out there, but overall not my cup of tea. But then again I don't like Jasmine Vanilla either. I prefer Lav. Vanilla, the Mints, and Orange Ginger.
