Question
Did anyone try the "Ile de Tahiti" line?
These mature, summer-time fragrances were beautiful. I believe it was 3 fragrances, in blue bottles with light, yellow labels. Some smelled of coconut, or banana. Did anyone else get a chance to try them? What did you think?

I ordered the Tiare Flower and Coconut Vanille for the summer and am loving them both! I can't say which one I like better as they are both amazing!

The Tiare Flower smells so tropical. If you like Gardenia, then you might just love this one. The Coconut Vanille smells like coconut with a hint of vanilla. I am not crazy about coconut scents, but love this one. I have the lotion and EDT in both.

Maybe they will bring out the banana one next year. I heard that one smells amazing, too! :)

I LOVE Ile de Tahiti!!! the tiare flower is my absolute favorite! the lotions and body washes are super conditioning and the EDT seems to last forever. great for the summer or a reminder of the beach in the winter. They re-launched it again this year but only in coconut vanille and tiare flower, not the banana.

I bought one of them and I'm not sure which one it was. They all reminded me of a tropical island or tanning lotion. Anything that smells like that is definitely a hit with me!!

Probably sun ripened raspberry. I do like the black raspberry vanilla tho. It's fun and smells like gummy bears to me. However, it doesn't smell very much like raspberries.

Sun ripened raspberry is probably the one you are looking for, it's light and not to strong which is perfect for spring and summer. Black raspberry vanilla is a heavier scent to me.

At first it was odd for me... because it had a sweet fresh cut grass like aroma. Hmmm! But, don't worry... because within moments that subsides and it blends with a sweet light, (honeysuckle?maybe) floral combo. This truly has a very fresh scent! On a different note...for a sexy scent, try the Sensual Amber! It rocks if you want an alluring, sexxy, spicey vanilla like essence with a twang and a little hint of a cotton candy like essence! All men I know love it! Trust me on this one.

If you like floral scents, like Cherry Blossom or Moonlight Path then you would probably like Butterfly Flower.

The Country Apple shower gel is very nice, as is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. The lotions are wonderful. The body cream in Country Apple is absolutely wonderful; it is a little stronger than the body lotion, and it is a very good emollient.

Question
A normal vanilla scent?
Which of the fragrances would have closest to a plain vanilla scent?

Not a silly question at all. I love vanilla scented products, but at the same time am also very picky. :)

There are 2 scents that are "straight up" vanilla:

For a soft, true vanilla scent, I will say that Warm Vanilla Sugar is the closest to a plain vanilla scent. I love this scent! You can definately smell the vanilla in it. I think the coconut and sandalwood notes add a special warmth to this scent.

Vanilla Noir is a deep, darker vanilla scent. It has some fruity and floral notes in it as well which come out in the scent. It's a more mature, sophisticated scent by far. I prefer the WVS because it's a very comforting scent... if that makes sense?

I would suggest Brown Sugar and Fig. This scent is both sensual and allluring. The fragrance does not over-power. Remember, you are looking for something that will enhance you - not announce you! This could definitely be the one.
I wish you many blessings on your special day; and may you have many years.

Lotion is the 'weakest" and has more water or liquid to the contents. "Cream" is thicker and has less water and perhaps even more 'fats'; and "body butter" is the heaviest of all (which I LOVE). The body butter in warm vanilla sugar has changed as it is not as thick as it use to be, and by now might not even be available as I just stopped using it. Body Butter is BEST for winter skin, but I love it after a long, hot bath since it just covers my skin like butter! In the summer I use the creams more because they are not as heavy, but I just about never use lotion because it is just too 'watery' and 'weak' except for my hands....Also, I find the heavier the product (cream vs. butter vs. lotion) the longer the beautiful scent lasts. II hope this helps, but remember, this is all OBSERVATION on my part. smiles

Body Butters are very very thick needed if your to the point of your hands are almost bleeding ( I have experienced ) and body creams are also thicker than lotion but not as thick as body butter. Body butter is definetley the thickest. Hope that Helps!

answer 4
Body butter is a bit thicker and ideal for the rougher, dryer areas: like heels and elbows. In comparison to body cream, it contains hgher concentrations of vegetable fats from things like cocoa beans, shea nuts, or avocados. I find it leaves skin more fragrant and for longer.

As with any fragrance, it's very nice if you use it correctly. My suggestion is to use the shower gel, then apply the lotion immediately after while your skin is still damp (not wet). Those two will give you a soft and lasting scent that is not too overpowering.

Well it IS a bit strong. Like the first time i smelt it i thought it was wonderful but after my friend used the hand lotion, i could smell it from like about 2 feet away and i felt it was still strong! We got the anti-bacterial hand soaps and they're a tad powerful as well, but better than the lotion (in the sense that my nose doesn't hate the potent smell). BUT you should go to a store and try the sample ones cause that's the only real way of knowing and seeing if you'll use it for a while rather than just buying it and disliking it after 20 minutes of usage. Hope it helped~! :D

When I've seen bath and body works complementary bath products at hotels (Like the Red Lion) They use the coconut lime verbana shampoo and conditioner (which is fab) and the warm vanilla sugar hand soap.
